Grey’s Anatomy – Season 8, Episode 14: “All You Need is Love.”
Love and hate was in the air by both patients and doctors.
Webber went home early to have dinner with his wife. She forgot who he was and even flirted with him. Webber came back to the hospital. He relieved Bailey so she could go on her date.
Bailey and Ben had dinner reservations. (But we all know with Bailey surgery comes first.) Ben knew her. He knew that something at the hospital would keep her away. Ben had the forethought to plan a romantic dinner right there at the hospital. Not often do we see Bailey speechless.
Derek and Meredith libidos unsatisfied, so Lexie spent her Valentine’s Day babysitting so her sister could orgasm (hey, I’m calling it like I’m seeing it).
Karev did not have slutty romp action for Valentine. Instead, he took care of a young patient. Did Karev grow a heart? Pediatrics made him soft, for now.
Callie surprised Arizona with an overnight camping trip. Arizona hates camping trips. Callie took her to Derek’s old camper. Arizona faked enthusiasm. Inside the camper decorated as a romantic Wonderland with lace, candles and champagne. Arizona didn’t have to fake anything after that.
Sloan stuck babysitting because he lost paper-rock-scissors game with Arizona. He spent his Valentine’s Day with his daughter. He also prepped Avery on his studies.
Owen told Yang he was moving out. She said, ‘Okay.’ But later in their special vent room, she asked him to forgive her. She placed one hand on his chest. He placed one hand on her arm. (We’ll see.)
After Owen told Yang he was moving out, he asked Teddy to go out for drinks (the audacity of this son-o-a-biscuit). Teddy told him in a firm unforgettable tone,
‘I HATE YOU.’
They would never be friends again. He lied about the death of her husband. She would never forgive him. He’s not to talk to her unless it’s work related.
A patient’s boyfriend arrived by ambulance badly injured. The girlfriend ranted how for eight years she had waited for a proposal. And every year he gave her a necklace. Once he coded however, the rage ended. She just wanted him to live. But he didn’t, he died.
Lexie went to the room where the patient was covered. His material things placed in a plastic bag. She placed the rest of his items in the bag. A heart-shaped locket fell out. Lexie opened the locket. Inside was the message, “Will You Marry Me.”
(I cried a waterfall.)
Lexie saw how quick life can turn on a dime. She took Zola over to Sloan’s. She pretended she came over for a play date for the two kids. But that she did want to talk to him. That’s when she heard Avery’s voice. Lexie lost her moment for an extra shot at love.
