Storage Wars – Season 3, Episode 51: “Viva La San Francisco.”

The auction took place in San Francisco. Darrell’s first time in the Bay Area. Brandi and Jarrod took a roller coaster truck ride up and down the steep hills of San Francisco.

Barry brought an assistant, dreadlocked Damien to do the heavy lifting. When Barry buys a locker, I’m afraid that items will fall on his head. So maybe having an assistant is a good thing.

First unit in a word–trash. An old mattress, a broken shelf, trashcans, and missing pieces to items. Barry told Dread-Head he won’t bid past $1,500. I’m not sure why he would bid at all???

Jarrod, Brandi and Darrell all encouraged Barry to bid against Dave. Bid war at $600. Barry won unit at $1,400. Are you kidding me? It was a heap of junk.

Barry sat on a chair while Muscle Dread-head rummaged through the mess. They found a tin-toy German boxer toy. Barry took it to a toy collector who said it was in good condition and was indeed a collector’s item. He appraised toy at $1,200.

“Who would have thunk?”

Second unit sparse but it had a Sears red Craftsman’s toolbox with a side case. Also inside car bumpers, bikes, paintings, and a couple of file cabinets. Not much of a bid war. Jarrod won the locker for $600.

Brandi beelined to the toolbox. She opened the drawers and yep, found tools. Score! Brandi also found a spy kit. Jarrod was excited. This was the coolest thing they have ever found in a locker at any time. They took the briefcase to a spy shop to get it appraised.

The clerk said the kit had state-of-the-art surveillance equipment, motion detector, camera watch, surveillance sunglasses, and more. Probably belonged to a private investigator. The briefcase appraised at $1,100.

Third unit (but not last) had brand-new office furniture still in box, business equipment, and crates. It was a huge locker and everyone was interested. Barry, Darrell and Jarrod raged in a bid war. At $2,100 Dave “Yupped” in his bid. Darrell however won the locker at $2,800.

Darrell found half-a-dozen brand new laminating rolls, 3 brand-new desks, overhead projector, and about 250 boxes of brand new highlight presentation boards inside that unit. Those boards retailed valued at about $35,000. Finally, Darrell got a good locker.

Last unit of the day Darrell and Jarrod teamed together. What was funny during the interview process Jarrod wore a white ribbed tank top. He looked at the camera and asked, “How did I get here… am I on Team Tank Top?” Yes, when you team up with Darrell, you must wear a tank top.

The entire unit was full of unopened boxes mostly new office furniture. Unit was packed. Both Brandi and Jarrod wanted it. The bid war between Dave and Jarrod began at $3,000 mark. Jarrod won at $3,400.

Dave was totally out the game.

Score profit card:

  • Darrell – $14, 650
  • Jarrod – $11,100
  • Barry – Loss of $25 (it could have been worse)
  • Dave – $0

Do you think Dave lost his mojo?
