The Biggest Loser Season 13 Episode 2: “Week 2.”

It’s week 2 of the Biggest Loser and tonight they attack the mindset, “I don’t know how to eat healthy.”

All of the teams are given the challenge that whoever loses the most percentage of weight are given immunity from elimination AND the opportunity to give someone else from a different team immunity as well.

Four volunteers step up as leaders of their teams to gamble for team black and red to win a five-pound advantage or disadvantage for their team.

Last week the Red Team won their weigh in so they go first on the gamble. The Red Team gambles with betting their team will lose 3.8% or 94 pounds as an entire team.

Crazy talk.

After a long hesitation, the Black Team pauses and eventually folds this round to let the Red Team bet with their 10.4 lbs per person. The Black Team strategizes that they will not lose that much and will let the Red Team beat themselves.

Losing that much in 7 days is A LOT!

Committed to losing 10 lbs per person, members of the Red Team become intimidated. Kimmy and Kim are pushed even harder by Dolvett Quince for making such a huge gamble. Bob Harper pushes Black Team even harder for losing the weigh in for the first time.

Brothers Joe and Mike counseled by Dr. Huizenga on their lifestyles and the changes they need.

Rachel Beller is a nutritionist for the Biggest Loser. Beller declares that diet is half the battle and lets the contestants shop with her advice in mind.

The contestants are in awe to find that California sushi rolls are 300 kcal a roll and a frozen pizza is 2,000 calories a slice.

Beller teaches them the flip method in changing your main dish into your side dish for a healthier diet.

Another tip: Go with oil based salad dressings rather than creamy based dressings. I guess 4 tsp of salad dressings can equal to one fried chicken wing.

Gross.

Turning in an anchor wheel to solve the puzzle, a challenge is presented and the first team to do this wins. Challenge winners win 6 months worth of the Biggest Loser Meal plans.

And the Black Team takes this victory.

Meanwhile in Chicago, the eliminated Aqua Team needs to learn how to lose 50 lbs in one month in order to get their way back to the Biggest Loser Ranch.

A rivalry between Bob and Dolvett escalated as Dolvett “steals” some of Bob’s workouts from previous seasons.

Who will take this victory? Is a 3.8% weight loss plausible?

Watch The Biggest Loser on NBC Tuesdays at 9/8c.
