Storage Wars: Texas – Season 1, Episode 12: ” Mo’ Money, Moe Prigoff”
Auction took place in Longview, Texas. When our four bidders arrived, they saw a mass sea of people. Holy Guacamole! About hundred of them with money in their pockets, ready to bid on storage lockers.
First unit contained used furniture, toys, boxes and a few old paintings. Victor and Moe guess-timated the paintings and furnishings circa 1950s. Victor planned to bid up then dump the unit on Moe (such a nice guy that Vic). Plan backfired on him. Moe bid up all right, then stopped. Unit cost Victor $475.
I wish I could say Moe got the best of Victor, but I cannot. Victor got lucky. Inside the unit he found four antique clocks. Once appraised total value of all four clocks around $3,900!!! Of course, Victor got a little snarky about it.
Next unit a piece of junk, inside four tires, boxes, old furniture and boxes. Moe won it for $425. He found a pair of Caribbean drums in new condition appraised at $300-$350 each.
Still, it was a horrible unit to win. Moe had the tires converted into mirrors and rims converted into chandeliers. That cost him $350 of his profit.
Last locker of day definitely a construction worker’s wonderland. Power tools, tool boxes, tools, tools and more tools. Bubba and Lesa went for it. Bubba bought the unit for $1,100. That’s a lot of tools to haul back home.
Score card profit:
- Victor – $3,425
- Ricky & Buba – $2,300
- Moe – $3,655
- Lesa – $0
No big winners here. Just a whole lot of junk!
